IUP has announced a new Master’s Degree program in Information Systems and Management.
The new Masters of Science degree will be offered starting in January of next year, but applications are being accepted now for the program. The new degree program is a collaboration between IUP’s Eberly College of Business and the John J. and Char Kopchick College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. According to Eberly College of Business dean Dr. Prashanth Bharadwaj, the program is meant for those who completed their undergraduate degree in this field with more knowledge and skills in information technology, data science and business management. He also said that domestic and international students have expressed a great interest in the potential program.
The program requires 30 credits of instruction through 10 core courses. If students enroll in the program full-time, they can complete the program by taking two courses in the summer and four courses each in the fall and spring semesters. Classes will be offered for both in-person and online education.
The program was approved by the Council of Trustees in May and by State System Chancellor Dr. Christopher Fiorentino on July 1st.
