Seven fire companies were sent out for a fire this morning in Pine Township.
Indiana County 911 reported that the Pine Township, Cherryhill, Clymer, Hope and Spangler fire companies were sent out at 12:04 this morning for a reported structure fire on Malloy Hollow Road south of Heilwood. A few minutes later, the Nanty-Glo and Nicktown fire departments were sent to the scene.
Pine Township fire officials say that the structure was a mobile home that was already fully engulfed by the time they got there. The home and its contents were completely destroyed. No one was living in the structure at the time, and electricity was not running to the mobile home. It’s believed that a spark from a large burn pile nearby set the structure on fire.
No injuries were reported. Crews were on-scene for about two to two-and-a-half hours.
