The Pennsylvania Game Commission is proposing more Sunday hunting dates for the rest of this year.
At a meeting on Monday, the Game Commission will consider adding September 14th, 21st and 28th along with all Sundays in October and November and December 7th to the hunting schedule. Anything that is in season on those days will be allowed to be harvested. There are no Sunday hunting dates set for 2026 as of yet.
This comes on the heels of the recent signing of Act 36 of 2025 into law by Governor Josh Shapiro, which lifts a long-time ban on most Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania. A few Sundays were allowed in November for rifle deer season.
