James Arthur “Art” Lemmon, 84, of Indiana, PA and formerly of Deckers Point and Medinah, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Communities At Indian Haven in Indiana, PA.
The son of Williard W. and Sara “Elizabeth” (Fisher) Lemmon, he was born on June 6, 1941 in Grant Twp., Indiana Co., PA.
Art was a graduate of Marion Center High School Class of 1959 and attended the DeVry Tech in Chicago, IL where he studied electronics.
He was married to Alice (Youngs) Lemmon from 1969 until her death in 2019.
Art worked as a manager with Zenith Television Manufacturing Company in Chicago, IL for decades. It was the only place he ever worked.
He greatly enjoyed hunting and camping.
Art is survived by his siblings: Donald L. Lemmon and wife Eleanor of Indiana, PA; Joseph P. Lemmon and wife Myrna of Deckers Point, PA; Betty Lou Lightcap of Long Island, NY; Bruce E. Lemmon and wife Kathryn of Chambersburg, PA; his sister-in-law: Betty Lemmon of Home, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alice; his sister: Louise Dunmire; his brothers: Charles and Blaine Lemmon and his infant brother: Ronald Lemmon.
In respect of Art’s wishes, there will not be a visitation or service. Private arrangements are with the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA.
