The Indiana County Commissioners this morning approved a contract agreement concerning the new shelter in White Township.
The total contract of $3.82 million is part of an agreement with the state for Home-ARP Non-Congregate Shelter Program Funds. The money will be used for the project with ICCAP to acquire property and build a 12,000 square-foot Pathway Homeless Shelter.
The board also approved filing a state grant application for up to $3 million to the Commonwealth Financing Authority Multimodal Transportation Fund. Byron Stauffer with the Office of Planning and Development said that the money will be used for a road to serve as a connector to Windy Ridge Business and Technology Park in the township.
The county will provide a 30% cash match to support public improvement projects.
It was also announced that the County’s Conservation District received the 2025 Leadership Excellence Award from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission for their outstanding work towards organized leadership and dedication to the professional development of district leaders and staff.
