Indiana’s 14U Pennsylvania state champions won two games yesterday at the Junior League Regional in Wilkes-Barre.
They took out New York 13-3 in their first game. Paisley Wolfe led the attack with three hits, two RBIs and two of Indiana’s six stolen bases. Ella Worthington and Maddie Twinchek each had two hits and Sophia Thomas drove in two runs.
Indiana then thumped New Jersey, scoring six runs in the first inning and rolling to a 15-3 win. They banged out nineteen hits. Boyer and Twinchek each had three hits. Boyer homered and Twinchek drove in three runs. Worthington, Samantha Martin, Evie Grantz, Tenley Anderson, and Aunika Brooks all had two hits.
Indiana takes on Delaware this morning at 11 o’clock and coming out of the loser’s bracket, they’ll have to beat them twice to win the regional title and make it to the Junior League World Series in Kirkland, Washington for the second year in a row.
