Six fire companies were sent to a structure fire in Cherryhill Township this morning.

Indiana County 911 reports that the call went out at 6:42 this morning for Cherryhill Township, Pine Township, Indiana, Brush Valley, Clymer and Commodore fire departments, the Rapid Intervention Team and Citizen’s Ambulance for what was initially described as a commercial structure fire on Diehl Road at the Eastern Orthodox Complex.
Cherryhill Township Fire Chief Jody Rainey said the fire was in a building that housed the kitchen and cafeteria of the church, and the difficult part in fighting the fire was a sub-floor in the structure.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown. State police fire marshals are on-scene to investigate.
