First Commonwealth Bank is being recognized once again for its commitment to financial education.
The bank has earned the 2025 Designation of Savings Excellence recognition for the seventh year in a row. The national recognition is given during America Saves Week to financial institutions that go above and beyond in promoting smart saving habits. First Commonwealth was one of just 11 banks and only 25 financial institutions total to receive the honor out of more than 5,000 participants nationwide. During the April campaign the bank opened 265 savings accounts and hosted a series of educational events. That included free financial webinars, high school workshops, and story time sessions at Head Start centers in Westmoreland County.
President Jane Grebenc says the recognition reflects the bank’s mission to improve the financial lives of its customers and communities.
Nationwide, America Saves Week reached more than 28 million people and spurred over $155 million in savings deposits.
