From the US National Weather Service
We’re not currently under a Flood Watch or Flood Warning, but our PWAT level is high enough to put us at risk, especially with more storms expected late this afternoon and later this evening.
As of the 20Z valid time, the Precipitable Water values across the region have reached 2 inches. Remember, PWATs are a measure of the amount of water vapor within the atmosphere. This gives the potential for flash flooding due to the rainfall efficiency. A slow moving storm or storms moving over a single location multiple times may lead to flooding. Stay tuned for alerts.
