The Curve have now lost three in a row, including yesterday’s series opener against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 16-3 last night.
Po-Yu Chen was roughed up for nine runs on 11 hits in the first three innings, and failed to strike out a batter for only the second game in his 42 games with Altoona. Offensively, Omar Alfonzo singled two runs in the first inning and Maikol Escotto had a sac-fly in the second inning.
The two teams play again tonight with Alessandro Ercolani starting for the Curve. The Rumble Ponies have not announced their starter.
