The Clymer Police Chief charged in connection with a domestic dispute that turned physical will have his case go before the county court of common pleas.
Court documents show that Charles Waller, Jr. of Indiana waived his preliminary hearing yesterday at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s court. He faces charges of felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment for the incident on June 18th. On that day, state police say they were sent out to a home in the 200 block of Second Avenue in Heilwood for a 911 hang-up call, and learned from the un-named female victim that she and Waller were involved in an argument that resulted in him shoving her to the ground and choking her. Waller was taken into custody on-scene.
He remains free after paying 10% of a $25,000 bond. A formal arraignment hearing is set for September 30th at 1:15 in front of Indiana County Judge Gina Force.
