Pauline “Polly” Elizabeth (Gromley) Ashbaugh, 79, of Northern Cambria, PA passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home.
The daughter of Warren “Jay” and Mildred (Brown) Gromley, she was born on January 11, 1946 in Barr Slope, PA.
Polly was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
On January 8, 1966, she married Kenneth Lyle Ashbaugh and they have shared over fifty-nine years of marriage together.
Polly enjoyed flower gardening; traveling; shopping and especially loved being in the outdoors. She was devoted to taking care of her husband and family.
She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth; her four children: Theresa M. Long; Kenneth Ashbaugh and wife Mary; Sandra M. Bernecky and significant other: Fred Farabaugh; and Kimberly Venesky and fiancé Haiden Pierce; her ten grandchildren: Angel; Jeffrey: Alicia; Zachary; Amy; Nicholas; Randall; Samuel; Hannah and Nathan; her twelve great-grandchildren: Jason; Marissa; Ethan; Christian; Jewlee; Jackey; Levi; Lucas; Claire; Cassidy; Elliot and Gracelynn; her seven siblings: Ruth King and husband John; Carolyn Lydic and husband Dale; Betty Buterbaugh; Philip Gromley and wife Golda; Brenda Gromley; Warren Gromley, Jr. and wife Kelly and Josiah Gromley.
Polly was preceded in death by per parents; her two brothers: Ed and Eugene Gromley and her two sisters: Bev Peace and Dorothy McCombs.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025 with Pastor Robert White officiating.
