A Clymer man was arrested after an incident last night where shots were fired.
Clymer borough police say at 10:02 last night, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Morris Street for a report of gunshots in connection with a domestic incident. When police arrived, they arrived, they determined that a woman was involved in a physical confrontation with 21-year-old James Shaffer that later led to a fight between Shaffer, the victim and other witnesses. Shaffer fired two shots from a handgun to try and stop the fight.
Shaffer was taken into custody and is charged with possession of an instrument of crimes, simple assault and reckless endangerment. Clymer Police were assisted by the state police and Citizen’s Ambulance Service. He is now in Indiana County Jail awaiting an arraignment hearing with District Judge Anthony Sottile.
