IUP has issued some parking guidelines for today.
Following prior precedent, the university will not restrict access to the Wayne Avenue, Stadium South and Stadium North parking lots during today’s celebrations. Access will be restricted at the KCAC VIP Parking Lot in front of the facility, along with the South Campus parking lots near the softball and baseball fields. University Drive on South Campus will also be closed from 7:30 to 11:00 tonight.
IUP’s campus is closed for the holiday, so people will not be able to access campus buildings for any reason today. Officials also advise that the campus lots are for parking only, meaning no long-term gatherings, tailgating, grilling or tents allowed.
Any spaces reserved for the handicapped, visitors and admissions along with fire lanes, loading and unloading zones and tow-away zones will continue to be enforced today. Parking illegally in those areas could result in a ticket or your car being towed at your expense.
