A heat advisory that has been in effect for our area since Sunday will come to an end today, but people will still need to keep an eye to the sky for some storms.
The National Weather Service says the advisory will end at 5:00 tonight, but during the day today, AccuWeather Meteorologist Jeff Nordeen says that as the temperatures go down, strong rainfall will hit the area.
While today’s storms are not expected to be as strong as some of the ones over the last few weeks, Nordeen said that people could still expect them to bring heavy downpours and localized damaging wind gusts.
