A Westmoreland County man wanted for threatening to shoot Pennsylvania State Troopers is now in custody.
Authorities allege that 59-year-old Damon Deemer of Apollo broke into the Forest Hills Police Department while armed with a loaded gun on Friday. A search of his vehicle then led to authorities finding six more guns. After being released on pending charges, Deemer allegedly made calls to Pennsylvania State Police, in which he threatened to show up at various state police stations to shoot troopers and dispatchers. Authorities say he made 24 calls over a four hour period, and many of those calls contained profanities.
Two days later, he was reportedly involved in a crash in Allegheny County.
Deemer is now in Westmoreland County Jail as bail was denied. A preliminary hearing is set for next Monday in front of District Judge Jason Buczak.
