A Center Township Man claims a road in his neighborhood is in such bad condition that it’s a danger for people who live along it, including the residents of a trailer park.
Bill Palmer lives along Gratosky Street in Luciousboro. He says he’s been trying for years to get the township to fix the dirt road, but it is still in very poor shape.
Palmer describes the problems with Gratosky and nearby Sylvester Street.
Palmer says it’s a dangerous road that needs to be fixed, but he can’t get the township to take action.
He says he was told the township has no funds to fix the streets.
Palmer also reached out to State Representative Jim Struzzi for assistance, but the road is not a state road, and the supervisors have not addressed his concerns.
The longtime resident said he is concerned about access by emergency and service vehicles.
Center Township Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder said they are plans in the works for repairs problems and some recent state grant money will help pay for the road repairs.
He added that if there are concerns about emergency or service vehicles, they will go up and address the problem.
