The State House and Senate are continuing to work on the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Budget, but it does not look like the budget will pass in time for the start of the next fiscal year
State Representative Jim Struzzi, who is the co-chair of the appropriations committee, said that his goal is to put together a quality product rather than meet at deadline.
State Senator Joe Pittman, who is on his chamber’s appropriations committee, said one of the major sticking points has been skill games. He feels that the market for them is unregulated, and that it’s now becoming a public safety issue.
Pittman is quick to remind everyone that while the deadline may not be met, it’s not the end of the world.
The House will be in session today, but the Senate is off until Monday.
