Another round of strong storms is expected to come to our area today.
Strong, quick storms hit Indiana County on Tuesday, bringing with it enough rain to flood basements, farms, ballfields and other areas. AccuWeather Meteorologist Jeff Nordeen says similar storms could bring similar storms to the county.
If flooding happens, Indiana County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman says one of the worst things to do is to stand in the water. Not only could that water sweep you away at a moment’s notice, but it may not be as clean as you think.
PennDOT also advises people to be careful if roads are flooded. Media representative Tina Gibbs says its best to not take any risks driving through large areas of water.
