The Indiana Area School District, in coordination with local and state emergency agencies, will be conducting a large-scale emergency training exercise tomorrow at the high school.
The drill will involve the Indiana Borough Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Indiana Fire Association, Citizen’s Ambulance, and Indiana County Emergency Management. Police and school officials will be on-site throughout the day. Officials are advising the public not to be alarmed if they see emergency vehicles or hear sirens in the area. The exercise is only a drill and poses no actual threat.
The school district says the training is part of its ongoing commitment to student safety, helping ensure a quick and coordinated response in case of a real emergency.
