S&T Bank has announced the results of the recent company-wide fundraiser to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
The company raised over $117,000 for the charity to fight childhood cancer. The company had 72 lemonade stands at their locations at branch locations across the company’s footpint. This marks the second year the entire company took part in the fundraiser. The campaign started in 2022 in the bank’s southeast Pennsylvania region.
The charity is based around the efforts of four year old Alex Scott, who wanted to raise money for cancer research by building her own lemonade stand. By the time of her passing at the age of eight, her stands raised over $1 million. To date, the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised over $300 million.
S&T Bank CEO Chris McCormish thanked his team and those that supported the Lemonade Days fundraisers, saying that over the past three years, they have been able to exceed every goal set out.
