The Pirates walked off a winner on Friday night against their cross-state rivals. Joe Block reports.
It’s back to work today for the Pirates today as they play the Phillies again. Andrew Heaney is slated to start for the Bucs. He is 3-4 with a 3.39 ERA. The Phillies are sending Ranger Suarez, who has a perfect 4-0 record with a 2.72 ERA. You can hear the game at 3:45 on WCCS, with first pitch at 4:10.
The win did come with a bit of a cost, as catcher Endy Rodriguez was pulled from the game in the second inning with elbow discomfort. Henry Davis had to sub in for him, and did very well, with a two-run homer and going 2 for 4 at the plate.
