An Indiana nursing home got an unwanted visitor as a black bear broke a window and entered the facility.
The incident happened Tuesday night around 11 PM as what was described as a 150-pound young black bear broke through the window at Saint Andrew’s Village. After trying to lure him away with some snacks, nurses resorted to wrangling the bear and pushing it out the door. The Pennsylvania Game Commission came by with a humane bear trap, and it was captured early Wednesday morning. He will be relocated to a more appropriate location.
The Game Commission said that Pennsylvania’s black bears are mostly non-confrontational and, in this case, it’s believed the bear was looking for some food.
