Along with the garage fire, Indiana County’s first responders had a busy day on Monday.
A second structure fire was reported at 6:38 on Cornell Road in Burrell Township. Black Lick, Blairsville and Coral-Graceton fire departments along with the county HAZMAT team and Citizens’ Ambulance were sent out at the time. Black Lick fire officials said there was no fire, but a rice cooker had turned on without liquid and overheated. Crews took the appliance out of the house. No damage was reported.
Indiana County 911 sent the Brush Valley and Vintondale fire departments to a car fire at 8:48 PM on Barkley Church Road in Buffington Township.
And a vehicle crash was reported at 5:44 PM on Craig Run Road in Young Township. Iselin-West Lebanon, Coal Run-McIntyre and Elderton fire departments were sent to the scene along with Citizens’ Ambulance.
Details on the incidents have not yet been released.
