Indiana county’s commissioners each expressed some concern this morning about federal budget cuts.
Commissioner Sherene Hess said that the issue is something to pay attention to whether you are in favor of them or against them, as they will have a large impact on the county’s budget and the programs that the county has to fund.
As far as the county budget goes, Commissioners Chairman Mike Keith said that the budget process started back in February, and he says they will need the help of all the county’s directors to help get to the ultimate bottom line.
During the meeting, the Commissioners approved two agreements concerning the Jimmy Stewart Airport Hangar project. One of them was for a stormwater management agreement between the county and White Township, the other is a water relocation agreement with the Indiana County Municipal Services Authority to relocate a waterline and for a new tap for the hangar.
