Mildred L. Pikel, 98 of Clymer, PA., passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Communities of Indian Haven, Indiana, surround by her loving family.
She was the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Percic) Lucas, born August 1, 1926, in Alverda, PA.
Mildred was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer and cooked for many years for funeral luncheons and events. She loved to can, and her spaghetti sauce was the best. Mildred loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had the best caregiver, her son Fred, every night they would go for a ride to see the sights. Mildred was the last of her generation.
She is survived by two sons, Fred Pikel III of Clymer, Robert Pikel and wife Marsha of Indiana, one son-in-law, Greg Buggy Sr. of Clymer, four grandchildren, Robert Nicholas Pikel and wife Marcy, Dana Mercik and husband Joe, Greg Buggy Jr. and wife Jamie, Christine Menchio and husband Patrick, seven, great-grandchildren, Danielle Pikel, Daphne Menchio, Aubrey Mercik , Anna Buggy, Jacob Buggy, Liam Buggy, Cora Buggy.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ferdinand J. B. Pikel Jr., one daughter, Debbie Buggy, three sisters, Irene, Mary Ann, Velma, two brothers, Paul and Edward.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St., Clymer. Her funeral service will follow at 5 pm. Interment will be private for the family at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
