The Steelers have signed first round draft pick Derrick Harmon to a four-year contract which includes a $9.7 million signing bonus and a guarantee of more than $17.9 million. He was the last of the team’s seven draft picks to sign.
The team has also signed free agent backup offensive lineman Nick Broeker, who was a 2023 seventh round draft choice of the Bills but has spent the past two seasons with the Texans.
Next up for the Steelers will be the negotiations on a contract extension for All-Pro edge rusher TJ Watt, and the decision by Aaron Rodgers on whether or not he joins the team. The voluntary Organized Team Activities – the “OTAs” – start on Tuesday.
At the NFL summer meetings, the owners rejected a motion to ban the “tush push” by two votes. The Steelers voted for the ban.
