Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council approved a cooperative agreement with Downtown Indiana concerning the 8th Street Corridor Project.
The project is part of the Indiana 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Communications and Grants Coordinator Eden Zenisek talked about what that project entails.
Indiana Borough is contributing $20,000 in CDBG funding towards the project, while Downtown Indiana will put in $7000.
The council also approved appointing people to the steering committee for the Indiana Borough Endowment. Zenisek said that this is part of the pilot program from the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies, and will allow for different grant-making opportunities. The committee will approve the narrative for the endowment and submit it to the foundation.
