The Indiana County law enforcement community turned out today for the Peace Officer Memorial Day Ceremony at IRMC Park.
The ceremony pays tribute to the officers who sacrificed their lives to protect the community. This year’s ceremony was organized by Indiana Borough Police Department, and Chief Justin Schawl talked about how important the ceremony is.
During the ceremony, tributes was paid to Constable Phillip Michael, Officer Jamie Roman and Patrolman Andrew Duarte, three Pennsylvania law enforcement officials who were killed on duty over the last year.
