On Wednesday, the White Township Supervisors took steps towards fixing the roof on the township building.
The roof sustained significant damage in the recent hail storms that went through the county, and that damage has caused leaks in the roof in several areas of the building. Township Manager Chris Anderson said that he has already started to seek bids for a full roof replacement project.
The supervisors gave him authorization to proceed in acquiring roofing services at a cost not to exceed $40,500, with the hope that the township’s insurance will cover some of the cost.
In other business, bids for paving and for seal coat were opened. Pending a review by the solicitor, Derry Construction of Latrobe will receive the paving contract while Russell Standard of Mars will receive the seal coat work.
