Last night, the United School Board tentatively approved the 2025-26 budget.
The $25,044,756 budget contains no tax increase, but it does include a budget deficit. Superintendent Richard Lucas said much of that deficit has to do with health insurance costs.
Lucas said they have a goal of reducing the budget deficit to below $800,000 by the time of the final approval of the budget comes around in June.
The board also elected James Fry as the board treasurer for next school year and approved the list of graduates for this school year.
