The Heritage Conference baseball and softball championships will be decided today and Renda Digital TV has both games.
At First Commonwealth Bank Field, the defending conference champion Homer-Center Wildcats play the Northern Cambria Colts. Northern Cambria is 17-2 this season and finished the Heritage Conference slate at 15-1. Homer-Center is 16-4, and was 13-3 in the conference. The Colts beat the Wildcats, 11-9 in their only meeting this season.
In the District 6 Class A rankings, Northern Cambria is number one and Homer-Center is number two entering the week.
The softball title will be decided between West Shamokin and Conemaugh Valley at Northern Cambria.
West Shamokin is 16-4 and finished the Heritage Conference slate tied with Marion Center, both at 14-2. The Wolves beat the Stingers 6-5 in eight innings in a play-in game on Saturday. Conemaugh Valley is 15-5 and was 11-5 in the conference after starting 0-4. West Shamokin beat CV 18-7 in the regular season.
The Blue Jays are second behind Claysburg-Kimmel in District 6 Class A. West Shamokin is second in Double-A behind Southern Huntingdon.
Both games hit Renda Digital TV at 6:30 tonight.
