Fire crews from Indiana were called to assist with a fire this morning in Armstrong County.
Indiana County 911 reports that Iselin-West Lebanon Fire Company was called at 2:40 AM to a location on Route 56 for standby detail for a fire company already on the scene a fire in the 400 block of Kiski Avenue in Apollo. No word yet on the cause of the fire. Two people had to be hospitalized for smoke inhalation and cuts to their arms.
That would be the second call in 24 hours for Iselin-West Lebanon fire department, as they were also dispatched at 8:20 yesterday morning for a utility lines down call on Stuart Street.
Utility lines were also reported down along Route 580 in Cherry Tree Borough. Cherry Tree firefighters were sent at 11:56 AM.
Two landing zones were also called for. One of them for an incident along Black Walnut Road in Armstrong Township at 3:45 PM that sent the Creekside fire department out. The other was for an incident on Route 286 East in Green Township. Commodore firefighters were dispatched at 9:43 PM.
