The Indiana County Tourist Bureau is celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week.
Indiana County Commissioners at a meeting on April 23rd honored the bureau with a proclamation, marking the week-long celebration. This year’s theme focuses on how travel powers the economy, builds opportunities and connects America. According to the 2025 Tourism Economics Report, tourism generated over $175 million in visitor demand in 2023 while the industry supported over 2,000 local jobs. This year, the tourist bureau is honoring the Indiana County Parks and Trails office for their continuing contributions.
This week, the bureau will launch an “America 250PA Indiana County” art contest for local high school students and a chance to be featured in next year’s Tourist Bureau Calendar. They are also offering discounted tickets for Idlewild and Soakzone for purchase at their office in the Indiana Mall and will conduct some face-to-face outreach at the Keystone Welcome Center in Claysville.
