While it’s not expected to be as severe as Tuesday, storms this afternoon and evening could be severe and may hamper power restoration efforts.
On Tuesday, straight line winds of about 70 to 80 miles an hour took out trees, power lines, and even a cell phone tower in Cambria County. It also left a large job for first responders and utility crews with cleanup and repairs. Accuweather is predicting another round of strong storms this afternoon, and Meteorologist Jeff Nordeen says while it’s not as robust as what came through earlier in the week, it will still be strong.
He added that those fixing the lines will have to keep an eye to the sky starting this afternoon.
