Due to an ongoing project by Peoples Natural Gas, traffic delays continue on Wayne Avenue, between Locust Street and Maple Street in Indiana.
As part of the construction, access to IUP campus via Grant Street and Violi Way is currently closed. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the congested construction zone. Work is taking place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will not impact IUP’s commencement ceremonies on May 10. Pedestrians are still able to cross Wayne Avenue near the construction, but drivers should be prepared for one-lane traffic and potential delays.
Drivers and pedestrians alike are reminded to stay alert and cautious near the construction area.
