The Steelers yesterday signed veteran backup offensive lineman Max Scharping. He signed with them last October and played in three games, taking ten snaps. Shcarping was a second round draft choice of the Houston Texans
The Steelers completed their 30 permitted pre-draft visits of prospects yesterday. They hosted four quarterbacks, four wide receivers, nine running backs, eight defensive linemen, three cornerbacks, one safety, and one edge rusher. They also hosted four local prospects, three from Pitt and one from West Virginia.
The draft is next Thursday.
