It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Bernard F. R. May who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on April 2, 2025 at the age of 94.
Bernard was a devoted husband to Patricia May (Cormier) and they were married for 65 wonderful years. He was a loving father to his children, Patricia May (Connelly), Bernard May, Martin May, Andrea May (Spencer), and Terence May. He was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering love for his family and a loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bernie also was a passionate U.S. Marine who served as a Captain and pilot until his honorable discharge in 1957. He was an avid storyteller and his legacy and stories will live on in all of us.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Indiana, Pa. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 5th at 10:00am at St Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel2Towers.org in his memory.
