The Indiana School Board Monday night discussed the potential budget shortfall it could face.
During discussions on the spending plan, it was mentioned that the district could see a $6 million deficit as the budget season approaches. While Audit and Finance Committee Chair Julia Trimarchi Cuccaro said it was the biggest deficit seen, she is confident that the number will come down to a more manageable level.
The budget must be passed by June 30th.
The board last night approved the district’s three-year comprehensive plan and the East Pike and Ben Franklin Cooler/Freezer project and a change order for Eisenhower to add a ramp to go to the kitchen area to facilitate moving food into the building.
