A promising season ends with another crushing defeat for the Pitt Panthers, who fall to Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC playoffs, 55-54. The game ended on a free throw by Notre Dame’s Tae Davis on a phantom foul call against Zack Austin with half of a second left. Davis made one of two free throws to give the Irish the win.
Pitt ends with a 17-16 record after starting the season 12-2.
