ESPN’s Adam Schefter told The Pat McAfee Show yesterday that he anticipates the Steelers signing a quarterback this week, and he suspects it will be Justin Fields, whom he called “first in the pecking order.” Schefter says Russell Wilson appears to be the fallback guy.

No new names were added to the franchise tag list across the NFL yesterday, meaning only Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and Chiefs guard Trey Smith were tagged. That makes a number of players unrestricted free agents, including quarterback Sam Darnold, wide receiver Chris Godwin, linebackers Josh Sweat and Zack Baun, and safety Justin Reid.
The Eagles yesterday locked up running back Saquon Barkley for two years at $36 million, with incentives that could make it $51 million.
