The new rankings of NFL teams by the Players Association places the Steelers 28th out of 32 teams for the second straight year, with owner Art Rooney II ranked number 30 for his lack of “willingness to invest in the facilities.” He got a “D” in that category and the Steelers also got a D for their locker rooms, and a C-minus for strength and conditioning, which was last in the league. They also got a C-minus for the way they treat their players’ families.
Coach Mike Tomlin got the highest grade, an A, which put him 7th in the NFL.
The Dolphins ranked first. The Cardinals ranked last.
At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, the players take the field for the first time today. They’ve been involved in interviews with teams through the early part of the week-long event.
