Pitt fell to 2-7 in its last nine games with another close loss on Saturday, a last-minute nail-biter to North Carolina, 67-66.
The Tar Heels got a game-winning jumper from RJ Davis with 52 seconds left to take the lead for good as Pitt failed to score in the game’s final two minutes, three seconds. The Panthers also lost senior guard Damian Dunn to a broken elbow.
Cam Corhen led Pitt with 17 points and Jaland Lowe scored 15.
The Panthers return to action Tuesday night at SMU.
