The River Valley School Board approved the purchase of a new food trailer for the life skills class last night.
The trailer will cost no more than $18,100 and will include appliances to cook and serve food. Board president Rick Harper said that the program outgrew the trailer currently in use and there were more students that wanted to take part in the program. He said that it was a good problem to have.
He said the trailer would be used at the new football stadium. Speaking of the stadium, Harper said that he had a meeting with everyone concerned with the fieldhouse project, and they assured him that the fieldhouse, bathrooms and other “horizontal” work would be done by August 1st, no matter what.
The board tabled several supplemental contracts for next school year, including head and assistant coaching positions for football. Harper said that discussion needed to continue about salaries for the individuals.
