Pitt erased a seven-point second-half deficit with an 8-0 run, then sealed the win with a 14-2 run at the end of the game for its second win in a row, 73-65, over North Carolina.
Jaland Lowe scored 18 points, Ish Leggett and Zack Austin 15 each, and Cam Corhen 14 for the Panthers, who scored 22 points off of turnovers.
Coach Jeff Capel says the Panthers had to fight to win this one.
Pitt travels to Wake Forest on Saturday, tipping off at noon.
