THE ROAD TO THE KCAC ROUNDS THE BEND

There is a key Heritage Conference high school girls game tonight as Penns Manor and Marion Center both come into their game contending for the second spot in the West on the Road to the KCAC.

The Stingers are 11-2 and the Comets 10-2 entering the final week of conference play. Penns Manor won in overtime in the first meeting between the two on December 18^th.

We are on the air at 7 o’clock tonight on 92.5 FM U92 and on Renda Digital TV.

River Valley is 13-0 and leads the West. In the East, Cambria Heights is in first place at 10-4 with Portage at 8-5 and United at 7-5 and fighting for second place.

On the boys side, West Shamokin leads the West at 8-3 with Homer-Center at 6-7 and Marion Center 5-7 heading into the final week. The East leaders are Conemaugh Township and Portage, both at 11-2 and scheduled to play each other back-to-back tonight and tomorrow.

WRESTLING

Indiana finished 13^th out of 47 teams at the Ultimate Warrior Wrestling Tournament at West Branch on Saturday. Nico Fanella won the championship at 133 pounds. Carter Putt placed 5^th and Dominic Fanella finished 6^th in their weight classes.

6^TH GRADE BASKETBALL

At Indiana Junior High School this weekend, Indiana’s 6^th grade girls basketball team qualified for the state Middle School Basketball Championship Tournament

Tomorrow, Penns Manor’s girls visit United on U92 and Marion Center’s boys travel to River Valley on Cat Country 106.3 FM.

On Wednesday, River Valley’s undefeated girls visit Marion Center on Cat Country and on Renda Digital TV.

On Thursday, Homer-Center’s boys are at Marion Center on WCCS.

On Friday, Marion Center’s girls visit Homer-Center on WCCS.

There is an IUP basketball doubleheader on Wednesday at Cal U. on U92.

Pitt battles North Carolina at The Pete tomorrow night, pregame at 8;30 on WCCS. The Panthers tangle with Wake Forest at noon Saturday, also on WCCS.

The Penguins take on San Jose tonight on U92 with the pregame at 9:30. On Wednesday, they play at Utah on U92 following IUP basketball. They are back at home to play Nashville on Saturday.
