We are just sixteen days away from the start of Spring training for the Pirates. Pitchers and catchers have their first workout in Bradenton on Wednesday, February 12th, and the full squad will hit the field on the 17th.
The latest MLB Pipeline Top 100 Prospects list has four Pirates on it, the highest of which is pitcher Bubba Chandler, at number 15. He’s also the fourth-highest ranked right-handed pitcher. Last year’s top draft pick, shortstop Konner Griffen, is ranked number 43. Pitcher Thomas Harrington is number 80 and second baseman Termarr Johnson is number 83.
