From the US National Weather Service
No big changes to the forecast for the next few days. The main stories are gusty winds and snow chances both tonight/Tuesday and on Wednesday.
Wind: Gusty conditions will ramp up tonight and diminish through Tuesday. Strong winds are expected in the Laurel Highlands and Allegheny Mountains where a High Wind Warning and Wind Advisory are in effect beginning at midnight through 3pm Tuesday. Wind gusts will ramp up again Tuesday night and slowly diminish Wednesday night.
Snow and Snow Squall Potential:
Light snow will move in tonight through Tuesday morning. Generally an inch or less for Pittsburgh and areas south, with 1-3 inches possible north, especially north of I-80, and in the higher elevations. Snow squalls are possible early Tuesday morning during the morning commute, which could cause whiteout conditions and quickly coat roads.
More snow is on its way Wednesday, with similar overall amounts to Tuesday. Snow Squalls will be most favorable in the late afternoon and evening time frame, which could impact the evening commute.
