Multiple fire crews were dispatched Sunday to a home on Grant Street in Indiana Borough for a reported structure fire that turned out to be a small issue.
The call went out at 11:06 Sunday morning, and brought the Indiana, Homer City, Creekside and Coral-Graceton fire departments, Citizen’s Ambulance, the HAZMAT team and borough police to the scene. Indiana fire officials said that the alarm went off due to an overheated light ballast on a fixture in the basement. No smoke or damage was reported. Everyone except Indiana Fire Association members were sent back, and crews were on-scene for about 30 minutes.
Indiana was also dispatched to Pratt Drive in White Township for an automatic fire alarm at 5:38 PM.
