There are eight former Steelers on the two Super Bowl rosters, four of them on the roster of the Philadelphia Eagles and four with the Kansas City Chiefs. The game is on February 9th in New Orleans.
The Eagles throttled Washington, 55-23 on Sunday to win the NCF Championship and the Chiefs will be going for their third straight Vince Lombardi Trophy after edging the Buffalo Bills, 32-29.
Kenny Picket heads the Eagles’ list of former Steelers, along with offensive linemen Fred Johnson and Le’Raven Clark and punter Braden Mann. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster will suit up for the Chiefs, and the KC roster also includes three former Steelers on the practice squad: quarterback Chris Oladokun and cornerbacks Steven nelson and Darius Rush.
Meanwhile, Steelers coaches and front office personnel are spending this week scouting college players preparing for this week’s two all-star games. The East/West Shrine Bowl is Thursday night in Arlington, Texas. The Reese’s Senior Bowl is Saturday afternoon in Mobile, Alabama.
